Canyonlands
All of the photos from our June 2010 trip were taken from the Island In The Sky section of Canyonlands National Park. Our time was liimited for various reasons, and we mostly experienced the park from very near the car, which, of course, is never the best way to lose yourself in the overwhelming appreciation of nature that usually accompanies actual contact with the trees, rocks and gorgeous, slowly moving vistas.
In all, there are three rather large sections of this park: The Needles, The Maze and Island In The Sky . Each of the two sections we didn't visit is larger than the the Island In The Sky section we drove through. To get a better view of this marvelous land, consider anything you can find by Tom Till, a photographer capable ofcapturing the character and beauty of the Canyonlands area when it is most ready to be exposed. He carries this ability to capture the best light to many other wonderful places on our planet adding to an amazing collection of photos that can be obtained through his gallery on Main Street, Moab, Utah.
