This page is specifically for our April, 2012 trip to Sedona, Arizona.  It was our first trip there, and, although a single visit will have a lifelong impact on any traveler to this place, we are already making plans to get back to Red Rock Country.  One of the best plans we made for this photo-making journey was to schedule time with Larry Lindahl, an amazing photographer who lives in Sedona.  Barb found me his book, Secret Sedona, in which he writes about the quest for the shot and the feelings that he shares with the sacred landscape, and includes some of the most beautiful photos you'll ever see of this magical place. 

Then, just to prove that spontaneity is the best ingredient for any plan, we were very fortunate to find Tom Kelly, another Sedona photographer, in Rollies Camera on Main Street (297 N. State Route 89A).  He agreed to a Sunday evening hike.
