Delaware

                My wife Barb has been visiting the Delaware Seashore area with her father and step-mother since she was a little girl . We continued to visit the area on family vacations as our kids grew, and still try to make the pilgrimage at least once a year around our wedding anniversary in September.

                Most often, as in the earliest days, we camp at Indian River Inlet in Delaware Seashore State Park. It's not primarily a photography trip, so many of the galleries are no more than snapshots from my Cabela lounge chair near our trailer. In mild revolution to such lazy living, we occasionally visit Cape Henlopen State Park just up the road. We sometimes boast we will one day visit more of the state's parks, but it's not very likely. There is an $8 entrance fee for each park, and often not much more in the park than land that seemingly hasn't sold to developers. The best views are only availble for rent -- at least in the area we visit. So those two state parks will be the ones most represented here.
